Helmed by Sue and Ken Miller and their sons Randy and Jesse, Birchrun Hills may be a small dairy operation, but it’s a big name in cheese in Pennsylvania. The creamery has been making cheese since 2006 and is known for its award-winning Birchrun Blue, made with raw milk from the farm’s Holstein cows and aged for months in underground caves, lending the product a depth of flavor with a hint of sharpness and sweetness.
